Walking distance from the lodge there are various shops (including a butchery, corner supermarket, liquor store and pharmacy).

Pretoria has numerous malls to satisfy all your shopping needs, including but not limited to: clothes, groceries, furniture and handcrafted goods.

Day trips

Pretoria offers an array of things to do and visit. Walking distance from the lodge there is the Pretoria Zoo (we can recommend a visit!) and at a slightly longer distance you can also visit the Union Buildings. For those of you willing to travel a bit further we can also recommend:

Nearby nature reserves/parks

The Dinokeng game reserve, located approximately 30 minutes from Pretoria, offers you a close by Africa experience including the big 5! You can do self drives or arrange for organised game drives at the park.

Pilanesberg National Park is located approximately two and a half hours away from Pretoria. It too offers the big 5. We can recommend a day visit or weekend away to this national park. One of South Africa’s hidden gems!
