Our story
Our origins lie in The Netherlands where we originally come from. We came to South Africa in the late 1970s and worked on a mission hospital for 15 years. We then went back to The Netherlands but Africa always on our mind.
In 2010 we made the decision to return to Africa and opened the Lerato Bush Lodge. We returned to South Africa with the vision and aim of serving the community and to help build bridges between people and communities. Lerato Bush Lodge is part of this idea where we have created a place where people from all over Africa (and the world) can come and share ideas.
The Lodge is open to everyone – be it for a day or for a year! We get travelers who just pass through, while others come and stay for a few months. Some of our guests have stayed with us for a few years while they study at the University or spending some time in South Africa to do mission work.
Whatever your reason for passing through – you are most welcome.
